Japanese Entreprenuers visit Mozambique
A Japanese mission of 50 people among the senior government representatives of some Japanese big companies such as Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui, Komatsu, Sumitomo Corporation, and Toyota Tsusho Africa will visit Mozambique between 2nd and 4th of September 2008.
Course on Business
A Trainers Training Course in “Getting to Know Business”, starts today in Maputo. The course will benefit 15 participants from the Technical Professional School and Higher Education Institutions of the Capital.
Sugar Factory
A sugar factory shall be installed soon in Chinhacanine locality, in Guijá district, in Gaza province, with the capacity to employ five hundred people. For the purpose it was identified an area with nearly 13 thousand hectares of land for the plantation of sugar-cane, the main raw material.
The installation of this premise results from the efforts of Gaza province Executive Entity in order to uplift the socio-economic development of that province.

Mauritius Entrepreneurs explore opportunities
Mauritius Entrepreneurs intend to invest in Mozambique. In this regard a business mission led by the Minister of Agriculture and Fishery of Mauritius is in Mozambique since last Sunday in order to establish business contacts in several sectors of activity.
France supports floods victims
A French Red Cross plane carrying humanitarian aid evaluated to 270 thousand Euros for the floods victims’ population affecting the central part of the country landed last Tuesday at Beira Airport.
As from the Press communication, the plane chartered by the Regional Intervention Platform departed from the Reunion Island to Indian Ocean, carrying “kits” containing kitchen, tends, mosquito nets and other goods indispensable for this type of situation.

Energy Forum in London
A Forum on investment opportunities in energy sector in Mozambique started yesterday in London, United Kingdom, promoted by Merril Lynch International, one of well known international financial institutions operating in several markets.
China supports agrarian research projects
At least two agrarian research infra-structures shall be implanted this year in the country with the purpose of increasing the research activities in agrarian sciences. It will be the Research Centre and Agrarian Technologies Transfer of Umbelúzi and Moamba Technologic Park to be fixed in Maputo province estimated to 700 million USD with the support of the Chinese Government.
President of Republic of Mozambique Visits Netherlands
Mr. Armando Guebuza, President of Republic of Mozambique will officially visit Netherlands next month, February.
Mozambique exports ilmenite
Mozambique has just started with the exports of ilmenite, extracted from the Moma Heavy Sands located in Nampula province.
Assistance to Boane Farmers
The farmers from Beluluane, Mavoco and Tchonissa, Boane district, Maputo-province, received last week a system equipped by batteries to facilitate the chicken raising and eggs production, as well as a “kit” of maize and peanuts seeds.
